Law Enforcement Investigates Social Media Threat Against President Trump

Local and federal authorities have launched an investigation after social media posts surfaced appearing to threaten President Donald Trump and his supporters.

The York County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) first became aware of the posts on March 25, 2026. Detectives traced the content to a female resident in Greer, South Carolina. Though the individual previously resided in Fort Mill, investigators confirmed the video was recorded at her current residence in the Upstate.

Upon discovery of the posts, YCSO detectives immediately initiated a probe to verify the credibility of the threats. Following an initial investigation, officials determined that there is currently no credible threat to the President or the public.

Despite the determination that the threat was not immediate or viable, the Sheriff’s Office notified the United States Secret Service. Federal agents are now actively investigating the allegations made in the video to ensure all security protocols are met.

The York County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that they take all threats of violence seriously, particularly those directed at public officials. The agency stated that it will continue to coordinate with federal partners to monitor the situation and ensure the ongoing safety of the community.

No charges have been filed at this time, and the identity of the individual has not been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
