Local Athletes Shine at Prestigious All American Track Meet in Columbia

Boggess and Graham Capture First-Place Titles Among East Coast’s Best

COLUMBIA, SC – Athletes from the greater York County area made their mark at the All American Track Meet held April 11–12 in Columbia, SC, where hundreds of top-tier teams from across the East Coast converged for a weekend of elite competition.

Two standout performances highlighted the weekend: Clover High School’s Mackenzie Boggess and Rock Hill High School’s Aidan Graham each brought home first-place finishes in their respective field events, asserting their positions on the national stage.

Boggess Breaks 40 Feet in Triple Jump

Clover High School junior Mackenzie Boggess leapt to victory in the Girls Triple Jump with an outstanding mark of 40 feet, 1.5 inches (12.23m), ranking her #17 in the nation. She was joined on the podium by Mia Williams of Fort Mill High School, who placed second with a jump of 39-5.5 (12.03m), currently ranked #38 nationally.

Boggess also impressed in the Girls Long Jump, finishing 5th overall with a distance of 18-3 (5.56m).

Graham Dominates in Discus

Aidan Graham of Rock Hill High School claimed gold in the Boys Discus with a throw of 181-5 (55.30m), earning him the #44 spot in the U.S. rankings. His performance capped a weekend where local athletes consistently challenged top talent from across the region.

Other Notable Local Performances

  • Austin Smith of Northwestern High School placed 2nd in the Boys 400m in 47.73 seconds.
  • Xavier Wright-Meeks of Northwestern placed 10th in Boys Triple Jump with a distance of 43-8 (13.31m).

  • Lucas Barz of Nation Ford placed 4th in Boys Javelin (168-1 / 51.24m), followed by William Massey of Northwestern in 6th (161-10 / 49.34m).

  • Ella Nighbor of Clover finished 10th in the Girls 3200m (10:54.70).

  • Nation Ford’s Girls 4×100 Relay team (G. Brailsford, B. Watkins, L. Green, A. Heard) took 9th in 48.30 seconds.

  • In the Girls 100m, Khamoni Rockeymore-Crews of Rock Hill placed 5th in 11.76 seconds, ranked #88 nationally, and Gabriela Brailsford of Nation Ford finished 10th with an 11.97.

  • Kaylee Rovenstine of Fort Mill took 10th in the Girls Mile with a personal best 5:07.92, ranked #106 in the U.S.

With multiple top finishes and national rankings achieved, York County’s athletes proved they can compete with the best on the East Coast—and the country.
