It’s a beautiful start to the week, and we are back with our Humane Society of York County (HSYC) Pets of the Week! Whether you are looking for a quiet companion to watch the birds with or an active partner for your morning jogs, we have two incredible furry friends waiting to meet you.
🐱 Cat of the Week: Clara
Meet Clara, a stunning Calico beauty with mesmerizing green eyes. Clara has been with the HSYC for about 15 weeks after being surrendered by her previous owner.

Age: Just over 1 year old.

Personality: She is a bit shy as she adjusts to her new surroundings, but with a little patience, she is ready to blossom into your “FUR-ever” best friend.

Vitals: Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested.

Ideal Home: A cozy spot with a window where she can keep an eye on the birds.
🐶 Dog of the Week: Wesson
If you have a high-energy lifestyle, Wesson is your guy! This handsome “big boy” was found as a stray wandering a local golf course and is now looking for a permanent teammate.

Age: Just over 1 year old.

Size: 70+ lbs of affection and energy.

Personality: Loves belly rubs and playing hard in the yard, but knows how to chill on the couch afterward.

Compatibility: Dog-friendly (with dogs of equal energy!) and needs “dog-savvy” owners who can handle a strong, active pooch.

Vitals: Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested.
