Celebrating School Success in Lancaster County School District

Lancaster County School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding academic growth and achievement of our schools during the 2024–2025 school year as evidenced on the South Carolina State Report Card. Our schools are showing steady growth, with 54% of schools rating good or excellent. LCSD outperformed the State in the Academic Achievement, Preparing for Success, Multilingual Learners Progress, Graduation Rate, and Student Progress categories. Lancaster County School District represents excellence in education and is pursuing the vision of becoming the premier district in the state.

Highlights from this year’s results include:

● More Excellent/Good Ratings this year 12 out of 22 schools or 54% schools (last year 11 out of 22 schools)

● 83% of schools are Average and above

● Two Below Average schools moved to Average

● Decreased number of Unsatisfactory/Below Average Schools

● NO Unsatisfactory schools

● First time since 2018 that we had no schools rated unsatisfactory

● 61.5% of our Elementary School are Good or Excellent

● Discovery School went from Average to Excellent

● Discovery and Indian Land Elementary had Excellent Student Progress

● Clinton Elementary and Erwin Elementary went from Below Average to Average

● Andrew Jackson Middle School increased to Good

● South Middle School increased to Below Average from Unsatisfactory (1 pt from Average)

● 75% of our HS are rated Good or Excellent

● 50% are rated Excellent- increase from last year.

● Lancaster High School experienced a +6 pt increase during 2025 school year

● 75% of schools are Good or Excellent on Graduation Rate
