York County Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Federal Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking

A York County man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy. Eric Michael Deon Brown, 37, was sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute 400 grams of fentanyl.

The investigation revealed that Brown was selling drugs obtained from a larger drug trafficking organization operating in the Rock Hill and Charlotte region. The group was known for distributing cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and pills that were made with fentanyl to resemble prescription Oxycodone tablets.

Brown was supplied with fentanyl and fentanyl-laced pills from other members of the conspiracy. His sentence, handed down by U.S. District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis, includes 168 months in prison followed by five years of court-ordered supervision. There is no parole in the federal system.
