Lupton and Chanthaphaeng Capture Titles at PKBGT South Carolina Open

Tega Cay’s Addie Lupton and Fort Mill’s Bailee Chanthaphaeng put in impressive performances this weekend at the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour (PKBGT) South Carolina Series Open, held July 19–20 at Cheraw State Park Golf Course, both winning their divisions.


🏆 Futures SC Division: Addie Lupton (Tega Cay)

Competing on the par‑72 18‑hole course, Lupton posted consistent rounds of 76, both days (4 over par each), finishing with a 36‑hole total of 152 (+8). Her steady play earned her the top spot by a decisive 6‑stroke margin, securing victory in the Future SC division.


🏅 Discovery SC Division: Bailee Chanthaphaeng (Fort Mill)

On the 9‑hole Discovery layout, Chanthaphaeng delivered a dynamic performance with a blistering opening round of 32 (–4) followed by an even-par 36, for a 2‑day total of 68 (–4) — good enough for first place.

Event Overview

The PKBGT South Carolina Series Open, conducted in partnership with the WSCGA Junior Foundation, is part of a regional junior golf circuit for girls aged 9–18. Divisions include Discovery, Futures, and Prep. The event at Cheraw State Park featured stroke-play competition across the weekend.

Lupton’s & Chanthaphaeng’s victories not only mark standout local achievements but also boost their standings in the regional Order of Merit, potentially qualifying them for national-level PKBGT events later in the season.
