INDIAN LAND, S.C. – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman who caused a disturbance at the Taco Bell located at 9915 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land on Sunday night, April 27.
Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 9:31 p.m. after employees reported that a female customer entered the restaurant, yelled and cursed at staff, and caused damage inside the building.
According to witnesses, the incident began after Taco Bell employees refused service to a customer in the drive-through. A short time later, a woman entered the restaurant and began shouting at workers. During the confrontation, she overturned a tea canister and threw straws, napkins, and condiment packets throughout the interior. Before leaving, she also tossed chairs in the seating area.
The woman then exited the restaurant and entered the passenger side of a blue 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Before the vehicle left the parking lot, she threw a ceramic coffee mug—reportedly containing liquor—and a Taco Bell cup at an employee. No injuries were reported.
Part of the incident was captured on a cell phone video recorded by an employee.
“We intend to identify and locate this woman so we can deal with her behavior at Taco Bell,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. “What she did was totally inappropriate and totally unnecessary, and we will take appropriate enforcement action.”
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the woman’s identity or whereabouts to contact them at 803-283-3388 (Option 4) or submit a tip online at www.p3tips.com/983. Tips can also be submitted through the P3Tips mobile app, available for Apple and Android devices. All tips may be submitted anonymously.
