Chocolate lovers, take note: Tony’s Chocolonely has issued a voluntary recall for select Dark Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bars sold in the U.S. and Canada, after reports of small stones found within the treats. Known for their ethical and high-quality chocolate, Tony’s Chocolonely is taking this precautionary step to ensure consumer safety.
The recall affects seven lots of the 6.35-ounce bars, with the potential for small stones introduced during third-party almond harvesting and processing. While no injuries have been reported, the company is urging consumers to check their chocolate for the following lot codes and best-before dates:
Affected Products:
- Dark Almond Sea Salt (6.35 oz):
- Lot Codes: 163094, 162634, M1626343
- Best-Before Dates: February 28, 2026; April 2, 2026
- Everything Bar (6.35 oz):

- Best-Before Dates: November 22, 2025; November 25, 2025; November 26, 2025
The company reported receiving 12 consumer complaints regarding small stones found in the products. The issue has been traced to third-party almond harvesting and processing, where the stones were not adequately filtered out. All reported incidents occurred outside of North America. Small stones in food products present a risk of dental damage or choking.
Consumers who have purchased the affected chocolate bars are advised to refrain from consuming them. Tony’s Chocolonely recommends returning the product to the original point of purchase for a full refund or replacement, or disposing of it safely. For any further questions or assistance, consumers can visit Tony’s Chocolonely website. This voluntary recall underscores Tony’s Chocolonely’s dedication to maintaining high standards and prioritizing consumer safety.
