Fort Mill High School’s boys golf team has teed off the 2025 season with a powerful swing, securing two impressive victories against region rivals Catawba Ridge and Nation Ford. With a young roster brimming with potential, the Yellow Jackets are proving they’re a force to be reckoned with on the greens.
Coach Bridges, enthusiastic about the team’s promising future, has witnessed firsthand the dedication and skill fueling their early success. The team’s strong start is a testament to their hard work and the depth of talent within the squad.
Victory Over Catawba Ridge:
The Yellow Jackets began their winning streak on March 13th, facing off against Catawba Ridge. Fort Mill showcased their prowess, posting a team score of 164, a decisive eight strokes ahead of Catawba Ridge’s 172. Leading the charge was Baker Tolentino, who delivered an outstanding round of 37, securing the overall match low score.
The individual scores highlighted the team’s consistency and depth:

Clutch Win Against Nation Ford:
The momentum continued on March 20th, as Fort Mill faced a tight contest against Nation Ford. In a nail-biting match, the Yellow Jackets edged out their opponents with a team score of 168, just one stroke ahead of Nation Ford’s 169. Once again, Baker Tolentino tied for the overall match low score with a 40.
