Tega Cay, SC – The Tega Cay Lions Club has announced an extension of the application deadline for its annual college scholarships, now set for April 1, 2025. These scholarships, managed by the Tega Cay Lions Foundation, aim to support local graduating high school seniors in the Fort Mill School District and those in equivalent educational programs residing in the 29708-zip code.
Scholarships Available
Ron Kazel Scholarship
- Amount: $2,500 (one-time award)
- Established: 2008
- Eligibility: Open to students demonstrating financial need or physical disability.
Bobby Cullen Jr. Scholarship
- Amount: $2,000 (one-time award)
- Established: 2014
- Eligibility: Open to students demonstrating financial need or physical disability.
Gulasky Scholarship (York Technical College)
- Amount: $500 (one-time award)
- Established: 2024
- Eligibility: Open to graduating seniors applying to York Technical College.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be graduating high school seniors in the Fort Mill School District or equivalent educational programs.
- Reside in the 29708-zip code, verified by an official transcript or notarized letter from school officials.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Not have accepted a scholarship covering 50% or more of total tuition costs.
- Have applied to a four-year college, community college, technical college, or York Technical College (for the Gulasky Scholarship).
Selection and Application Process
A selection committee comprising Tega Cay Lions Club members and community representatives will review applications and conduct personal interviews. Awards and Recognition
