Carowinds is making a splash with a new attraction aimed exclusively at adults. The popular amusement park, which straddles the North Carolina-South Carolina border, has announced plans to open an adults-only pool in 2025.
This addition will be part of Carolina Harbor, the park’s water park, offering an escape for guests ages 21 and up. While Carowinds is known for its thrilling roller coasters and family-friendly attractions, this new feature is designed to give adult visitors a retreat away from the high-energy rides and crowds.
A Relaxing Retreat for Adults
Carowinds officials say the pool will feature lounge chairs, cabana rentals, and a swim-up bar offering cocktails and other beverages. Guests can expect a more serene atmosphere, with soft music and shaded seating areas to enhance the resort-style experience.
“We wanted to create a space where adults can unwind and enjoy a more laid-back experience while visiting the park,” said a Carowinds spokesperson. “This is something our guests have been asking for, and we’re excited to bring it to life.”
More Upgrades for Carolina Harbor
In addition to the adults-only pool, Carowinds is also planning other enhancements for Carolina Harbor, including expanded dining options and additional shaded seating areas. The water park, which is included with Carowinds admission, already features wave pools, water slides, and a lazy river, making it a top summer destination in the Carolinas.
The new adults-only pool is set to debut in time for the 2025 summer season. More details, including exact opening dates and additional amenities, will be released in the coming months.
