A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on South Carolina Highway 557 on Friday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Feb. 14 near Harvard Green Drive. Authorities reported that a 2013 Dodge pickup truck and a 2024 Honda motorcycle were both traveling north when the truck slowed for traffic. The motorcyclist failed to stop and crashed into the back of the truck.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. No further details have been released at this time.
