Mrs. Martha Anne Adams Floyd, age 88, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born August 24, 1936, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Lewis Malachi Adams and the late Eva Catoe Adams and preceded in death by two husbands, Otis C. Flynn and Lloyd G. Floyd. Mrs. Floyd retired from Roses Discount Store. She enjoyed going to the beach, gardening, Elvis, and dancing, especially with her grandson, Chad. She never met a stranger and loved being able to care for others. Mrs. Floyd was an active member of Bethel Community Church and was one of the most faithful Christian ladies you could ever meet. Mrs. Floyd was a prayer warrior and prayed for everyone.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her son, David Flynn (Melissa); her daughter, Lisa Watson (Mike); two grandchildren, Chris Nobles (Heather), and Lauren Watson Chaney (Scott); five great-grandchildren, Halyn Grace Nobles, Graham Nobles, Luke Nobles, Oliver Nobles, and Charlie Olivia Chaney; her stepchildren, Monique Bowes, Tony Floyd, and Lloyd C. Floyd; numerous step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Adams; special niece, Barbara Whitaker; cherished friend, G.G. McGriff; and many special family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis C. Flynn, and her second husband, Lloyd G. Floyd; her son, Ricky Flynn; her grandson, Chad Watson; her parents, Lewis and Eva Adams; her two brothers, Leroy Adams, and Charles Adams; and her sister, Helen Sistare.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Floyd will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Bethel Community Church officiated by Rev. Glenn Ribelin.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Community Church, 4146 Shiloh Unity Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
