Bands of Clover Achieve Prestigious Honors

Clover High School’s Bands of Clover continue to shine on the national and state stages with two major achievements that highlight the students’ dedication, talent, and exceptional instruction.

For the fourth time in school history, the Clover High School Trumpet Ensemble has advanced to the semi-finals of the National Trumpet Competition. This year’s ensemble, directed by Ms. Courtney Wyatt and Dr. Marisa Youngs, features talented musicians Emma Appleyard, Alexander Aull, Ethan Castillo-Fenske, Joshua Seon, and Zachary Tiller. Their hard work has paid off as they prepare to represent Clover High School on a national platform in Texas. The competition is an incredible opportunity to showcase their artistry and dedication to excellence. More practice is on the horizon as the ensemble fine-tunes their performance for this prestigious event.

Additionally, Clover High School student Tian Candy Lan has earned recognition as a finalist for the 2025 SCBDA Master Recital. Selected from a pool of talented musicians across South Carolina, Candy will perform at the South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA) Professional Development Conference in Columbia, SC, on February 8, 2025. This honor highlights Candy’s exceptional talent and commitment to her craft, bringing pride to the Clover community.

These accomplishments demonstrate the commitment of Clover High School’s music program to nurturing talented students and providing them with platforms to excel. Congratulations to the students, staff, and directors of the Bands of Clover for these outstanding achievements!
