Killington’s Fort Mill Closes After Six Years in Baxter Village

After six years of serving the Baxter Village community, Killington’s Fort Mill has officially closed its doors as of today. The restaurant, known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse menu, announced the decision in a heartfelt message to the community.

“We had a very difficult decision to make, but when it comes down to it, we have to close,” the statement read. “Today was our last day, but we are grateful for all the amazing people that we got to work with and be friends with in this community.”

Since opening in 2018, Killington’s has been a popular gathering spot in Fort Mill, creating countless memories for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant thanked the Baxter Village community for its unwavering support over the years and encouraged patrons to extend the same warm welcome to the next tenant.

Although Killington’s Fort Mill has closed, the restaurant’s Huntersville location, just 30 minutes away, remains open and ready to serve familiar faces. The team reassured customers that any gift cards from the Fort Mill location would be honored in Huntersville.

“God Bless, and we will miss you,” the message concluded. “Please show the next tenant the same great welcome as you all did for us in 2018!”

The announcement has sparked an outpouring of gratitude from community members, who have shared fond memories of meals, celebrations, and friendly faces at Killington’s Fort Mill. The Baxter Village community will surely miss this beloved establishment but remains grateful for the years of service and connection it brought to the area.
