York, SC – York School District One is proud to announce its partnership with Franklin Covey’s Leader in
Me program, a comprehensive leadership development initiative designed to cultivate key leadership
and life skills in students and educators.
York School District One is among 14 districts across South Carolina selected to participate in this
transformative program.
This partnership, generously funded by a private foundation through the South Carolina Department of
Education, allows York School District One to implement Leader in Me at no cost to the district. This
foundation has supported Leader in Me initiatives in schools across the country, helping students and
educators develop essential leadership habits and skills.
The Leader in Me program will be implemented across all schools within York School District One. Staff
training will begin this spring, equipping educators with the tools needed to foster a culture of
leadership and personal growth throughout the district.
“We are excited to bring the Leader in Me program to our schools and invest in the leadership
potential of every student and educator,” said Kelly Coxe, Superintendent. “This initiative will
empower our students with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in school and beyond.”
