INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Ms. Janice Gay Christus, age 74, has passed on to be with her Savior Jesus Christ.
She has joined her other family members in Heaven.
Father: David Green Gay
Mother: Faye Barlow
Stepfather: Clarence Barlow
Precious Daughter: Kimberly Marie Thomas who passed on at age 16.
She is survived by her brother: David Russell Gay.
Janice vowed herself to her Lord Jesus Christ on Dec. 25, 1994, to be his only, never to marry again. Her last name was legally changed to “Christus” which means “Christ in us the hope of Glory”.
Her favorite Bible verses were: “To Live is Christ, to die is gain” and “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”
For over 30 years, she served in various roles in ministry:
Child Evangelist, church secretary, Bible teacher, and Christian salesclerk. Most of those years she served as Prayer Minister in several ministries.
She requested that instead of flowers, please donate to any Christian ministry to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
No services will be held. Funeral arrangements are being handled according to her wishes.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching.
