Mr. William “Bill” Michael Butucel, age 70, of York, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Bill was born on April 6, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of the late William Butucel and Josephine Benfant Butucel. A man of many talents, Bill was especially skilled in the heating and air conditioning industry. He enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Joyce, camping, and spending cherished time with his family. His kind spirit, hardworking nature, and love for those closest to him will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He was a jack of all trades and he could fix anything. One of his many things he loved to do was work with wood. He built his own wood shop from the ground up; which was always a dream of his to have. He also built most of the furniture in the home.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Rose Bremser Butucel; his sister, Diane Koch (Thomas); his stepchildren, Trevor John Peters and Laura Rose Peters; and his step-grandchildren, Nick, Zach, Liam, Maggie, Norah, and Bryce Peters.
The family will receive friends for a drop-in celebration of Bill’s life at the family home on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to share photos, memories, and condolences online at www.brattonfuneralhome.com.
