KnowledgeWorks highlighted three York School District One administrators for their work on collaborative leadership.
York School District One said three of its instructional leaders were featured in a national KnowledgeWorks article on collaborative leadership in education.
The article, titled “Trust and Collaborative Education Leadership,” includes Elissa Cox, assistant superintendent of teaching and learning; April Aulmer, director of elementary programs; and Becky Funderburk, director of instructional design, according to the district.
The district said the article highlights how the three leaders help build a culture of collaboration, shared decision making and trust that drives continuous improvement across York School District One. Their experiences show how the district supports educators working together to strengthen instructional practices and improve learning for students, the district said.
York School District One said the recognition reflects its ongoing effort to develop instructional leaders who support one another and focus on student success as part of the district’s broader goal of ensuring every student is seen, heard and belongs.
