YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The York County 101 Citizens Academy is now accepting applications for its annual program, offering residents a behind-the-scenes look at how county government operates and the services it provides. Open to York County residents aged 18 and older, the academy is free of charge and runs over nine months from February through October.
The program provides participants with a comprehensive overview of York County’s departments, operational procedures, and functions. Each monthly session, held on the third Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., covers a variety of topics and offers a venue for residents to connect directly with county officials, fostering transparency and open communication.
Spaces are limited to 25 participants, with registration granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested residents are encouraged to apply early to secure a spot in this informative program.
