Two Rock Hill residents were killed Aug. 5 in a motorcycle crash in Houghton County, Michigan, after a vehicle crossed into their lane, according to investigators and as reported by WSOC.
Kimberley Wooldridge, 36, and Raymond Miller, 65, were traveling together on US 41 near Golf Course Road when the crash occurred. Investigators said Sze Wenn Tiang entered oncoming traffic while attempting to avoid a stopped truck, striking Wooldridge and Miller.
Tiang has been charged with a moving violation and driving without a license.
Wooldridge and Miller were best friends who had traveled to Michigan together earlier this month. Miller was remembered by friends and family as a hardworking man who enjoyed gardening and motorcycles.
Wooldridge was remembered as dependable, loving and intelligent, with a strong faith and a commitment to helping others. Neighbors in Rock Hill said she regularly assisted elderly residents in the community, including helping provide food and other support.
A celebration of life for Wooldridge is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, at All Nations Church in Fort Mill. The service will be open to the public.
