Mildred Stogner, 93, Lancaster, SC

LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Emerson Stogner, age 93, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at her home. She was born on November 12, 1932, in Walhalla, SC, a daughter of the late Theodore Emerson and the late Inez Cross Emerson and was the loving and devoted wife of the late Wayne Nelson Stogner.

Mrs. Stogner is lovingly survived by her two children, Alan Stogner, and Renee Price (Steven); five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her three siblings, Doris Miller, Alvin Emerson, and Carolyn Edwards; and many other special family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stogner; and her parents, Theodore and Inez Emerson.

The Private Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Stogner will be held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family has suggested no flowers and for those who wish, please make memorial contributions to Antioch Baptist Church, 1734 Antioch Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida.
