Early voting for the 2026 South Carolina statewide primary opens Tuesday, May 26, at three York County locations, including a site in Fort Mill, and runs through Friday, June 5.
The early voting period gives York County residents nearly two weeks to cast ballots ahead of primary day on Tuesday, June 9. Voters can use any of the three centers regardless of where they live in the county.
Where to vote
Carolinas Cornerstone Church, at 1790 Gardendale Rd in Fort Mill, is the closest site for Tega Cay and Fort Mill voters. Holiday Inn Rock Hill at the Galleria Mall, 503 Galleria Blvd in Rock Hill, will serve as the central county location. The Fire Training Center of York County, 2500 McFarland Rd in York, rounds out the three sites.
All three centers are operated by the York County Board of Voter Registration and Elections.
Hours and identification
Each early voting center will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The centers are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
Voters must present a valid photo ID. Ballots are cast on the same voting system used at precincts on election day, and any registered York County voter can use any of the three centers.
Runoff dates
If a runoff is needed, early voting for the primary runoff will be held Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, at the same three locations. Hours will again be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
