SCDOT Opens Public Comment Window for Four-Year Interstate Pavement Plan

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public feedback on adding the new Four-Year Interstate Pavement Plan to the state’s 2024–2033 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

The plan outlines major interstate resurfacing and rehabilitation projects scheduled for fiscal years 2026–27 through 2029–30. In compliance with state law under Act 114 of 2007, all included projects were selected for funding utilizing rigorous ranking processes based strictly on objective and quantifiable engineering factors.

SCDOT will review all feedback during a mandatory 21-day public comment window running from May 22 through June 11, 2026.  Participation is taking place through multiple channels:

  • Online: Submit comments directly here.

  • Email: Send written feedback via email.

  • Mail: Address correspondence to Ginny Jones, Public Involvement Director, SCDOT Public Engagement Office, 955 Park Street, P.O. Box 191, Columbia, SC 29201.

To assist residents lacking internet access, printed copies of the proposal are available at all SCDOT District Offices and South Carolina Council of Government Offices.
