Jenn Scuteri Named 2026 Olde English District Hospitality Employee of the Year Award Recipient

The Olde English District Tourism Commission (OED) is proud to announce that Jenn Scuteri, Welcome Center Information Specialist at the Revolutionary War Visitors Center, has been distinguished as the 2026 Olde English District Hospitality Employee of the Year (HEY). This prestigious regional honor was presented on May 4, 2026, celebrating her unwavering commitment to excellence in visitor services and community engagement.

The Hospitality Employee of the Year (HEY) Award is a prestigious annual honor, presented through a collaborative partnership between the South Carolina Association of Tourism Regions (SCATR) and the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT). Regional winners from across the Palmetto State are submitted for consideration in the statewide competition, where an impartial, out-of-state panel of judges selects the ultimate South Carolina Hospitality Employee of the Year. This distinguished program is dedicated to celebrating the exemplary front-line professionals who embody the spirit of South Carolina through their unwavering commitment to hospitality and superior customer service.

Scuteri serves as Welcome Center Information Specialist at the Revolutionary War Visitors Center in Camden, where she welcomes guests and creates a positive first impression for visitors exploring South Carolina’s Revolutionary history. She provides tailored recommendations based on visitors’ interests, delivers engaging historical interpretation for tour groups and walk-in guests, and helps connect travelers with attractions and cultural resources throughout the region.

“Jenn is not just a polite employee behind a desk, but a highly knowledgeable and memorable guide who makes visitors feel truly welcome and cared for,” Rickie Good, Director of the Revolutionary War Visitors Center, wrote in her nomination. “Her positive and friendly disposition extends to everyone she interacts with, making her a beloved and essential part of the Welcome Center team and a true ambassador for the community.”

In addition to her visitor services role, Scuteri manages tourism communications for Experience Camden Tourism and Simply Revolutionary, including social media, the city tourism calendar and monthly e-blasts. She also assists with educational programming and maintains local and state brochure inventory for the visitors center.

“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition for my service to Camden, Kershaw County, and the Olde English District,” remarked Scuteri. “Without the support and encouragement of my associates, I would not be able to accomplish the level of service and dedication that this award represents. I am truly grateful to receive the 2026 OED HEY award.”

Preceding this regional honor, Scuteri was recognized for her local impact as the City of Camden’s Employee of the Month. Her steadfast commitment to the community is further evidenced by her active presence at local functions and city-wide events, such as various seasonal holiday celebrations. Scuteri’s unwavering dedication to hospitality, historical interpretation, and community engagement continues to leave a lasting impression on guests and residents alike, effectively showcasing Camden, Kershaw County, and the Olde English District as a premier, welcoming destination for travelers throughout the region.
