The York County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public following a shooting incident on Saturday night that left one person injured.
Deputies responded to the area of Hall Spencer Road and Cureton Ferry Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. on April 4, 2026. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim who had been struck by a bullet. The current condition of the victim has not yet been released.
According to initial reports from the scene, neighbors in the Catawba community informed investigators that no unfamiliar vehicles were spotted in the immediate area at the time of the gunfire. Based on these witness accounts, detectives currently believe the suspect or suspects fled the scene on foot.
The York County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough canvas of the neighborhood and is asking residents for any information that might lead to an arrest. Specifically, investigators are interested in any residential or business surveillance footage captured near the intersection of Hall Spencer and Cureton Ferry roads around 10:20 p.m. Saturday night.
Authorities urge anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine a motive and identify those responsible for the violence.
