Keith Eric “Petie” Chapman, 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Indian Land, surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hoyt Douglas Chapman; his mother, Rebecca Ann Weese; and his brother, Michael Douglas Chapman.
Petie was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting, fishing, and racing. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father. He was known for always having a smile on his face and for his playful, joking nature. Petie had a huge heart and built friendships that lasted a lifetime. He cherished the time he spent teaching his children about hunting, fishing, and life’s most important lessons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Chapman; his son, Eric Chapman (Anna); his daughter, Bekah Chapman; and his granddaughter, Emma Chapman, all of Indian Land. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Chapman of Wadesboro.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at 1815 N. Dobys Bridge Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
Petie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
