Five Republican candidates for governor set to face voters at Indian Land High School
The South Carolina Constitutional Republicans — Lancaster County chapter will host a Lancaster County Republican Governor’s Forum on Friday, April 10, bringing together all five major candidates vying to become the state’s next governor.
The event will be held at the Indian Land High School Auditorium, located at 6100 Charlotte Hwy in Lancaster. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the forum running from 6 to 8 p.m.
All five confirmed participants represent the full breadth of the crowded GOP field: Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, SC State Senator Josh Kimbrell, Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Congressman Ralph Norman, and SC Attorney General Alan Wilson.
With the June 9 primary approaching, the race remains highly competitive and fluid.
Attendees wishing to have their questions considered during the forum must submit them no later than Wednesday, April 8, at midnight, by emailing [email protected].
The Lancaster forum is one of several community-level events giving Palmetto State voters the chance to assess the field ahead of the June primary. The state Republican Party has also scheduled three official debates: at Newberry Opera House on April 1, the College of Charleston on April 21, and Wofford College in Spartanburg on May 26.
Admission to the April 10 forum is free and open to the public.
