Award-Winning Festival Set for Saturday, May 9th with Live Country Tribute Acts, Food Competitions & Free Family Fun
TEGA CAY, SC – The City of Tega Cay is proud to announce the return of the 3rd Annual Best Dam Food Festival, taking place Saturday, May 9th, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Catawba Park on New Gray Rock Road. Recognized as the “Best New Event” at the North Carolina Festival and Events Conference and rated an “Event to Watch in the Carolinas,” this rain-or-shine celebration invites families and friends of all ages to jam by the dam for an unforgettable day of food, music, and community spirit.
Attendees will enjoy delicious food from diverse vendors, free amusements, a beer garden, arts and craft vendors, and the chance to vote in the beloved Best Dam Food Vendor and Best Dam Dessert competitions. Come hungry, leave happy — it’s always a great day in Tega Cay.

The festival opens at 2:00 PM with Brandon Sluka serving as emcee and featured performer. A rising name in southern rock, Sluka brings electrifying energy and crowd-favorite singalongs guaranteed to get audiences on their feet from the very first chord.
Following Sluka, Tega Cay’s own Jam Garden takes the stage — a homegrown powerhouse delivering an irresistible blend of rock and today’s hottest hits, bridging classic vibes with modern anthems in a high-energy set that showcases the best of local talent.
The night culminates with the headline act: Legends of New Country: Wallen & Wilson — a powerhouse tribute show blending the music of two chart-dominating acts into one unforgettable performance, billed as “Two Iconic Acts — One Epic Night.”
Wallen Nation delivers a spot-on tribute to Morgan Wallen, featuring hits including “Whiskey Glasses,” “Last Night,” “Sand in My Boots,” and “You Proof.” Lainey Nation brings to life the bold stage presence and powerhouse vocals of Lainey Wilson, with fan favorites including “Heart Like a Truck,” “Things a Man Oughta Know,” and “Watermelon Moonshine.”
