FORT MILL, SC — The Fort Mill School District (FMSD) has announced that all schools and district facilities will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, in anticipation of a dangerous weather system moving through York County.
The decision comes following a briefing from York County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service. Forecasts are currently tracking a high-risk system capable of producing severe thunderstorms, potential tornadoes, and damaging straight-line winds exceeding 70 MPH.

To ensure the safety of the district’s nearly 18,000 students and its dedicated staff, the following changes are in effect:

Shift to E-Learning Schedule
In light of tomorrow’s closure, the district is adjusting its academic calendar for the remainder of the week. The teacher workday originally scheduled for Friday, March 20, has been converted into an E-Learning Day for all students.
