CLOVER, SC — The Clover School District (CSD) has announced that all schools and district offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, due to expected inclement weather.
The closure comes as a precautionary measure as a severe weather system—carrying risks of high winds and thunderstorms—is projected to impact York County. By closing campuses, the district aims to ensure the safety of all students and staff members before the storm arrives.
Monday Closure Summary
-
Schools & Offices: All Clover School District facilities are closed.
-
Extracurriculars: All planned events, practices, and meetings for Monday are canceled.
Upcoming eLearning Day: Friday, March 20
To balance the lost instructional time, the district has also announced a change for later in the week. The Teacher Professional Development Day originally scheduled for Friday, March 20, will now be conducted as an eLearning Day for all students.
What to Expect for Friday:
-
Students: Should check their respective learning platforms (such as Canvas) for assignments. Teachers will provide specific details regarding expectations and digital “check-in” times.
-
Purpose: Utilizing an eLearning Day allows the district to meet state attendance requirements without needing to add an extra day to the end of the school year calendar.
Stay Informed
Parents and staff are encouraged to monitor the official Clover School District website and social media channels for any further updates as the weather situation evolves.
