YCSO Honors Outstanding Staff at Awards Banquet

YORK COUNTY, SC – To honor exceptional York County Sheriff’s Office staff members who exceeded expectations in 2025, the Sheriff’s Foundation of York County organized the 6th annual YCSO awards banquet. At the event, Sheriff Tony Breeden proudly announced the winners of the Deputy of the Year and Detention Officer of the Year awards. The ceremony took place on March 12, 2026, at Oakdale Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Detective Lucas Frame was recognized as Deputy of the Year, and Master Grade Sgt. Niesha Foote was recognized as Detention Officer of the Year.

Civilian Employees of the Year are Kaprice Cleveland from the Detention Division and Melanie Thomas from the Enforcement Division.

“These officers and employees deserve high praise for their dedication and service to the people of York County,” said Sheriff Breeden.

The Sheriff’s Award went to Captain Lee. Stoneburner.

In addition to these prestigious awards, the ceremony highlighted other outstanding achievements: Medal of Valor, Life-Saving Awards, Special Recognition, and Distinguished Acts Awards.
