FORT MILL, S.C. – The schedule for the installation of a new traffic signal at the entrance of Catawba Ridge High School has been finalized. The traffic signal will be located at the intersection of Nims Village Drive, the Fort Mill Parkway and the entrance to Catawba Ridge High School, to directly address ongoing traffic congestion and enhance safety for students, staff, and local residents.
While initial timelines were impacted by contract and equipment delays, the installation is now set to begin on or before May 1, 2026.
A Fort Mill Police officer will remain stationed at the intersection to manage morning and afternoon traffic flow until the traffic signal is fully operational.
