McConnells, S.C. — Daniel Harshaw, a lifelong York County resident, attorney, husband, and father of four, announced today his candidacy for York County Probate Judge, pledging steady leadership, service over self, and a court the public can trust. The Republican Primary is scheduled for June 9, 2026.
Harshaw’s family has deep roots in York County, and his career centers on serving families during some of life’s most important moments. With experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel for the Bank of York, Harshaw believes the role of Probate Judge demands professionalism, fairness, and common sense—not politics.
“York County is the community that raised me, and serving as Probate Judge is my way of giving back to the place that has given so much to my family,” said Harshaw. “Families deserve a judge who listens, explains the process, and leads with steady judgment. This race is about service over self and being a voice people can trust.”
Harshaw outlined the following priorities:
- Steady, Conservative Leadership
- Transparent, Accountable Operations
- Efficient, Well-Managed Proceedings
- Accessible Justice for Every Family
- Professionalism with Compassion
“Families turn to the Probate Court during some of the most difficult times of their lives,” Harshaw said. “I will serve this community with care, consistency, and respect—just as I would want for my own family.”
