LANCASTER, S.C. — The historic Lancaster Cultural Arts Center (CAC) will host its first concert of the new year this Saturday, welcoming back the internationally acclaimed Duo Arpeggione for an evening of classical mastery.
On Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., the stage will belong to crowd favorites Catherine Lan (piano) and Claudio Jaffé (cello). The duo is set to perform a diverse repertoire covering a span of 200 years, featuring works by classical giants Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as American composer Arthur Foote.
Beyond the music itself, Duo Arpeggione is known for enhancing the audience experience through education. Their recitals include insightful commentary regarding the history of the composers and the nuances of the work, allowing attendees to connect more deeply with the performance.
Both Lan and Jaffé bring a lifetime of performance experience to Lancaster. Their careers have taken them to major global capitals, including London, Tokyo, Helsinki, Bangkok, Amsterdam, and Buenos Aires. They also boast extensive resumes as guest soloists with various orchestras. Organizers note that the ensemble “never fails to please” and consistently delights audiences at the CAC.
