At the conclusion of the NCCAA DII National Championship meet, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) awarded five Bob Jones University Bruins cross country runners with All-American honors. The All-American team recognition is based upon finishing results at the national meet with the top-ten finishers being awarded the honor. Judah Nash is a resident of Rock Hill.
Judah Nash led the way as a freshman for the Bruins all season long, and with his second place finish, earned his first All-American award. Joel Batres-Mena, the junior captain of the team, earned his first All-American with a fourth place finish. James Baer came through the finish line with a fifth place finish earning his first All-American recognition. Freshman Jacob Doshier earned his first All-American award with his seventh place finish. Levi Gerbitz is the only repeat All-American of the group with his 10th place finish.
“Great athletes shine the brightest in defining moments,” said Head Coach Ken Roach. “These guys embodied the team’s spirit by executing critically when the pressure was the greatest. They represented us, and they showed what it means to carry a legacy forward.”
