York County Dominates 2025 Shrine Bowl Run Team Roster

York County high schools are exceptionally well-represented on the prestigious 2025 Shrine Bowl Run Team, with multiple athletes from the region earning a spot on the roster. The Shrine Bowl Run Team, which honors top senior runners from the state championship meet, features standout athletes from Fort Mill, South Pointe, York and Clover High Schools.

The selection of these athletes is a testament to the strong distance running programs across York County.

Fort Mill High School Leads the Way

Fort Mill High School boasts the largest representation from the area, with two male and two female runners making the team:

  • Connor Demmerle (Boys Team)

  • Finn Leckrone (Boys Team)

  • Alivia Cleveland (Girls Team)

  • Marlee Cook (Girls Team)

South Pointe, Clover, and York Schools Also Represented

Two other York County schools had runners selected, highlighting talent across the region:

While the list of runners primarily focuses on these schools, the athletic success of these nine students brings pride to the entire York County high school running community, which includes Nation Ford, Catawba Ridge, Rock Hill, Northwestern, Lancaster, Indian Land, York Preparatory Academy, Legion Collegiate Academy, and Riverwalk Academy.

These runners will participate in the annual Shrine Bowl Run, a tradition that not only honors athletic excellence but also raises awareness and funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
