Fort Mill School District to Host Oct. 21 Community Event with Citadel EHS

Fort Mill, S.C. — The Fort Mill School District will hold a community information session on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 5:00–6:00 p.m. at the Nation Ford High School Auditorium (1400 A.O. Jones Blvd., Fort Mill, SC 29715). The event will focus on the Flint Hill Elementary and Middle School site, with district leaders and environmental experts providing a public update and taking questions.

District officials said the session is part of an ongoing commitment to transparency and student safety. Citadel EHS, the district’s environmental consultant will present findings from baseline air-quality testing conducted at the Flint Hill campus and outline collaborative work underway on emergency preparedness plans.

Following the presentation, a Q&A panel will take questions from attendees. The panel will include Citadel EHS experts, members of the district administration, and representatives of the Fort Mill School Board. Organizers emphasized that while the forum is designed to answer community questions about the Flint Hill site and district safety initiatives, it will not address issues related to permitting or zoning of commercial businesses, which fall under other government authorities.
