Pratt Industries to Invest $92.5 Million in New Rock Hill Manufacturing Facility

116 New Jobs Expected in York County Expansion

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Pratt Industries, a leading U.S.-based packaging company, announced plans to expand its operations in York County with the addition of a new manufacturing facility. The $92.5 million investment is expected to create 116 new jobs.

The facility will be located at 2087 Williams Industrial Blvd. in Rock Hill. Once operational, it will manufacture the company’s packaging products. The site is scheduled to come online in 2028.

Pratt Industries is one of the largest corrugated packaging companies in the United States and a global producer of 100% recycled containerboard. The company already operates a recycling center in Rock Hill and cited the region’s infrastructure and workforce as key factors in the decision to expand.

“This new facility supports our continued commitment to invest in recycling, clean energy infrastructure, and American manufacturing jobs,” said Pratt Industries Global Executive Chairman Anthony Pratt.

The project received support from the Coordinating Council for Economic Development, which approved job development credits and awarded a $400,000 Set-Aside grant to York County to assist with building improvements.

Local and state leaders welcomed the announcement, highlighting the project’s economic and environmental impact.

“Pratt Industries investing $92.5 million to establish a new facility in York County is a big win for South Carolina’s recycling industry,” said Governor Henry McMaster.

York County Council Chairwoman Christi Cox emphasized the benefits of the expansion: “We value their partnership and the quality jobs this project brings to strengthen opportunity across our community.”

Rock Hill Mayor John Gettys added that the site in Legacy Park is well suited for the company’s needs. “We look forward to welcoming Pratt Industries’ manufacturing service line to our community,” he said.
