YORK COUNTY, SC – Eleven potential child predators have been arrested. Over August and September 2025, the York County Sheriff’s Office, along with state and federal law enforcement agencies, took part in two separate proactive online child exploitation investigations called “Operation Huntsman.”
The operation occurred at multiple locations in York County, including an undisclosed residence.
The York County Sheriff’s Office is part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, working together to track, identify, and prosecute those who prey on children.
This effort was a joint operation involving various law enforcement agencies across the Carolinas, including the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Homeland Security Investigations, the US Secret Service, and county law enforcement agencies.
At any given time, 25 to 40 officers, analysts, and staff members actively monitored numerous social media platforms and were contacted by these suspects.
All 11 individuals, referred to as travelers, actually arrived at the undercover locations set up for the operation. They believed they were traveling to meet a minor for a sexual encounter. The minors they expected to meet ranged from 10 to 16 years old.
These suspects target children online, and many have previously been hands-on offenders with victims who may or may not have come forward. Additional suspects are still being identified, and once they are confirmed and located, they will be arrested.
The investigation remains ongoing. During a similar operation in March 2021, 10 arrests were made.

Jonni Osman Pineda – 38 – Honduras – (Released to Federal Custody)
- Criminal Sexual Conduct with Minor (11-14 Years) 2nd Degree
- Criminal Solicitation of a Minor
- It’s our understanding that Pineda has been deported at least 3 times.
Anthony Luis Olmedo – 43 – Cureton Pl. Charlotte, NC
