Anne Springs Close Greenway to Host Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition “Forest Forms” This Fall

The Anne Springs Close Greenway will host Forest Forms, an outdoor art exhibition by acclaimed artist Huelani Mei, from September 13, 2025 through January 11, 2026. Presented in partnership with Visit York County and as part of the Charlotte International Arts Festival, the exhibit blends large-scale sculpture with natural landscapes across the Greenway’s Lake Haigler area.

Forest Forms features eighteen nature-inspired sculptures ranging in height from five to twenty feet. The installations—placed strategically from the Steele Creek swinging bridge to Lake Haigler—will be located within a half-mile radius of the Greenway Gateway entrance, providing visitors with easy access to the full exhibit.

Admission to the exhibition is included with a Greenway membership, or can be accessed with standard daily admission for non-members.

In advance of the public opening, the Greenway will host a Forest Forms Opening Night fundraising event on Friday, September 12, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Greenway Canteen (2573 Lake Haigler Drive). The event offers attendees an early look at the sculptures, along with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks. Huelani Mei will lead guided tours and a Q&A session about her artistic process. Tours will begin at 5:15 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 6:45 p.m. A signed sketchbook by Mei will also be raffled during the evening.

Tickets for Opening Night are available through the Greenway’s website: https://e.givesmart.com/events/JoO/
