YORK COUNTY, S.C. — York County 4-H has reached a milestone with the registration of its 600th youth member for the 2024–2025 program year, setting a new participation record for the organization.
The achievement reflects the program’s steady growth and increased engagement throughout the county. Leaders credit the milestone to strong community partnerships, active volunteers, and the commitment of local families to youth development.
“This number isn’t just about enrollment,” said Kristin Kunde from York County 4-H. “It represents 600 young people participating in hands-on learning, gaining life skills, and stepping into leadership roles in their communities.”
York County 4-H is part of the Clemson Cooperative Extension Service and offers educational opportunities in areas such as agriculture, science, healthy living, and civic engagement. Youth ages 5 to 18 take part in projects, competitions, and community service activities throughout the year.
With plans to continue expanding its programs and outreach, York County 4-H leaders expressed appreciation for those who have supported its mission.
The organization remains focused on providing high-quality educational experiences that help prepare the next generation of leaders across the county.
