Dr. Emily McQuay Named Principal of New Flint Hill Middle School

FORT MILL, SC – The Fort Mill School District has announced the appointment of Dr. Emily McQuay as the inaugural principal of the forthcoming Flint Hill Middle School. Dr. McQuay brings over 20 years of distinguished educational leadership to her new role.

Dr. McQuay’s appointment follows a highly successful tenure as principal of Fort Mill Middle School, where she led the school to achieve significant milestones. Notably, the school received the prestigious Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Lighthouse Award and consistently earned an “Excellent” rating on the South Carolina School Report Card under her leadership.

Her extensive career encompasses leadership roles at both the middle and high school levels. She has served as an assistant principal at Catawba Ridge, Nation Ford, and Rock Hill high schools. Throughout her career, Dr. McQuay has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success, fostering positive school climates, providing instructional leadership, and implementing innovative programs designed to support both students and staff.

Dr. McQuay’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education.
