Betty Sue Scoggins Clark, age 83 of Clover, SC passed away peacefully at CaroMont Health in Gastonia on March 2nd, 2025. Betty was born on September 29, 1941 in Murphy, North Carolina.
She was the daughter of the late John Sheppard and Ruby Roland Scoggins Sheppard. And the widow of James Lewis Clark.
A funeral service will be held at Bratton Funeral Home in York, SC on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Jack Mounts. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Betty is survived by her son; James Clark (Vicky) and her sisters Helen Morton (Robert), and Carolyn Oliver (Buck), along with her grandchildren James W. Clark, Shannon Harrel and Mary Sue Smith.
In addition to her parents and husband; she is predeceased by her siblings J.D. Sheppard, Leonard Scoggins and Bud Scoggins.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Rock Hill Christian Church, 380 Museum Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
