Founders Federal Credit Union Names Ray Tanner to Board of Directors

LANCASTER, SC – The Founders Federal Credit Union Board of Directors has appointed Ray Tanner to serve as a director, effectively immediately.

Bruce Brumfield, Chief Executive Officer made the announcement this morning following a unanimous vote at the board’s monthly meeting.

Ray Tanner began his role as Senior Advisor to the President and Athletics Director Emeritus at the University of South Carolina on January 1, 2025, after serving as the Gamecocks Athletics Director for more than 13 years. Prior to that, he was Carolina’s most successful baseball coach ever, at the helm for 16 years, taking the two back-to-back national championships in 2010 and 2011.

“Coach Tanner’s leadership experience and the relationships he has developed over his successful career will be significant to Founders Federal Credit Union and our growth plan. He will be a valuable asset and offer a unique perspective as a board member. I look forward to working with him as he assumes his role on our board,” said Bruce Brumfield, Chief Executive Officer of Founders Federal Credit Union.

Board Chair Roy Hunt added, “Ray Tanner is a man of great integrity and guided principles. We, as a board, are fortunate to have him and the knowledge and discernment he brings to the table.”
