A Rock Hill lottery player wasn’t surprised when he won $1 million.
“I knew I was going to hit it big,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
The winner’s lucky feeling was spot on when he bought a $10 scratch-off at the Quick Food Mart on E. Main St. in Rock Hill. That ticket made him a millionaire, and he couldn’t wait to tell his wife.
“I called her at work and said, ‘I told you it was coming,’” he said.
He’s happy he was right, and says his wife is too.
“We’re paying off the house,” he said.
Odds of winning $1 million in the Royal Millions game are 1 in 1,560,000. The game is no longer available for purchase.
Quick Food Mart in Rock Hill received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
