Girl Scouts to Retire Two Beloved Cookie Flavors

In a bittersweet announcement, Girl Scouts of the USA has revealed that two popular cookie flavors—Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores—will be retired after the 2025 season. Fans of these treats may be wondering why the organization decided to bid farewell to these favorites, but the Girl Scouts have provided an explanation for their decision.

Why Are Toast-Yay! and S’mores Being Retired?
According to a statement from the organization, the move is part of a regular review of their cookie lineup to make room for new flavors and innovations. “We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations. Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores may lead to something new and delicious,” the statement read. However, the statement also hinted that the retirement might not be permanent, saying, “Never say never!”

Toast-Yay!, introduced in 2021, and Girl Scout S’mores, launched in 2017, have been customer favorites. Both flavors will remain available through the end of the year, giving fans one last chance to stock up on these iconic cookies.

What’s Next for Girl Scout Cookies?
As Toast-Yay! and S’mores prepare to leave the shelves, the Girl Scouts will continue to offer a wide range of other beloved cookies, including:

  • Caramel Chocolate Chip
  • Caramel deLites/Samoas
  • Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich
  • Lemon-Ups
  • Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs
  • Thin Mints
  • Trefoils
  • Lemonades
  • Adventurefuls
  • Toffee-tastic

Priced at $6 per box, these cookies are sold to help raise funds for Girl Scout councils and individuals, supporting programs and activities that empower young girls.

Where to Get Your Favorites
Customers can still purchase Toast-Yay! and S’mores this season at cookie booths or online. After 2025, fans will have to wait and see if these flavors make a return, but for now, the Girl Scouts encourage everyone to enjoy the current lineup while it lasts.
