Mr. Eddie Stokes Kimble, Jr., age 80, of York, South Carolina, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, located at 1455 Filbert Highway, York, SC.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy, 1289 Lincoln Road, York, SC. The service will be officiated by Reverend Earl Young and Reverend Barry Looper. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Born on February 15, 1944, in York, SC, Eddie was the son of the late Eddie S. Kimble, Sr. and Aileen White Kimble. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Jean Carver Kimble.
Eddie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Heffner (Scott) and Melinda Kimble; his son, Trinity Kimble; and his five grandchildren: Josh Manning, Kimberly Heffner, Amanda Berry (Justin), Chad Kimble, and Hailey Kimble. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Lucy Berry and Scarlett Berry.
Eddie is further survived by his brothers, Bobby Kimble (Deborah) and James Kimble; his sisters, Dianne Bailey (James) and Linda Waldt; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Kimble.
Eddie will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his kind heart, and the love he showed to his family and community.
