Columbia, S.C. (August 12, 2026) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an open house public information meeting in Lancaster County to share plans for a proposed intersection improvement project at SC 5 and S-29 (Riverside Road)/S-75 (Rebound Road). The proposed project will convert the intersection to a roundabout. The purpose of the project is to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes at the intersection.
The drop-in style meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2026 in the cafeteria at Van Wyck Elementary School, 4945 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720. There will not be a formal presentation. SCDOT representatives will be available to discuss project plans with attendees and answer questions.
