ROCK HILL, S.C. – Rock Hill Schools will partner with the Less Than Three Foundation and South Carolina Representative Brandon Guffey to host a series of student assemblies and a community parent forum focused on online safety, sextortion awareness, and the importance of protecting young people in today’s digital world. As required by South Carolina’s Gavin’s Law (H.3583), Rock Hill Schools provides education to students and families about the dangers of sexual extortion and online exploitation.
Rep. Guffey founded the Less Than Three Foundation after the tragic loss of his 17-year-old son, Gavin, to sextortion in 2022. Gavin was a Rock Hill High School graduate. Since then, Rep. Guffey has dedicated his efforts to educating students, parents, educators, and communities about the dangers of online exploitation and how to recognize, prevent, and report it.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching.
